This policy explains what information Simple Beauty by Emily collects through simplebeautybyemily.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We are a permanent makeup studio at 164 Buffalo St, Hamburg, NY 14075.

The short version

We do not run analytics, advertising pixels, or session-recording software on this site. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. The only information we collect is what you deliberately send us through the contact form.

Information we collect

Information you give us

When you submit the form on our contact page, we collect the name, phone number, email address and message you type into it. That information is emailed to us so we can reply. We use it only to respond to your enquiry and to provide the services you ask about.

Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, our web server keeps standard access logs recording the IP address, browser type, requested page and timestamp of visits. These logs are used to keep the site running securely and are not used to build a profile of you.

Third-party services on this site

Some pages load content from other companies. When that content loads, those companies can receive your IP address and may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies:

  • Google reCAPTCHA — protects the contact form from spam. Subject to the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Google Maps — the map on our contact page.
  • Google Fonts — the typefaces used across the site.
  • Square — our online booking and gift card windows. If you book or buy a gift card, that transaction happens on Square's platform under the Square Privacy Notice. We never see or store your card number.

Cookies

This site sets no tracking cookies of its own. Your browser's local storage is used to remember that you dismissed our cookie notice, so we do not show it on every page. The third-party services listed above may set cookies when their content loads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

How long we keep your information

Contact form messages arrive as email and are kept in our mailbox for as long as we need them to serve you and keep records of our correspondence. You can ask us to delete them at any time.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or share your personal information for money or for anyone else's advertising. We share information only with the service providers listed above, only to the extent needed to run the site, or where the law requires it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to opt out of its sale or sharing (we do neither). To make any of these requests, email emily@simplebeautybyemily.com and we will respond. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Children

This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, so what you send is encrypted in transit. No website can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable measures to protect the information you send us.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
